Economics And How Our World Works
Process
I will first begin by putting you into two groups of ten. When you first get into your groups I want you all to come up with a fun name for yourselves. Next, you will discuss your groups natural resources, human resources, and capital resources. You are going to do research on your type of background, culture, etc. I want you all to dig deep and actually feel like you are a part of this American Indian culture or Ancient China and Egypt. I will hand out the worksheet that goes with this assignment.
This is where the fun begins. First start off by defining in your group what barter and trade mean, goods and services means, and finally what you all think your group needs specifically. I want you to sit down as a group and discuss this. These decisions can not be made by one person rather the entire group needs to participate. There is an activity with this assignment that you will be given. After that is complete it is now time for you to barter and trade your goods and services with the other group. Make this fun and exciting. I will have actual objects for you all to trade. Get to know the other group, this is your time to really get hands on and understand other backgrounds and cultures.
