Process

Phase 1: First click on the link below to pull up the KWL graphic organizer. Save the organizer to your computer. Fill in the K and W part of the organizer.

Next I want you to click on the ReadWorks PDF link below and read the first two pages. You do not have to do the questions unless you wish to so that you can be sure you comprehended what you read. However, you will not be turning this in.

Now click on the link below to watch the videos. Pay close attention, because you will be using the information in this videos.

1. Watch the YouTube Video: The Three Branches of Government

Answer the question at the end of this video on the bottom of the graphic organizer page.

2. Watch the YouTube Video: School House Rock video next.

Phase 2: After you have watched the videos two videos, I want you to first fill out the L part of your KWL graphic organizer, and then I want you to think of the similarities and differences of the three branches. What is each branch responsible for? Can one branch overthrow another, or take control of our country? What keeps each branch from having to much control?

Phase 3: Click the link below to pull up the graphic organizer. Fill this graphic organizer in with the information that answers the questions I had you think about it Phase 2.
