Process

  1. You will work in groups on this project.  Your folders must be completed individually for a grade. 
  2. You must assign each member a part of this project, so that everyone is doing the work equally.
  3. Define and explain the following questions. (Individual work).
  • What is Physical (health) Fitness?
  • What component of fitness do I incorporate into my workout program to develop and stay physically fit?
  • Explain why each component is important to become and stay physically fit?
  • How often do I need to workout?
  • How long should I workout?
  • What are some exercises I should perform?
  • How hard should I be exercising to maintain an productive level?
  •                 a.  List and Define the four components of health fitness
  •                  b.  List at least 3 different exercises that help develop, improve or maintain these 4 components.
  •                          c.  List and define the 4 elements that should be involved in a everyday workout

 The Elements of a Workout Program (F.I.T.T.)

  1. Frequency
  2. Intensity
  3. Type
  4. Time

4.  You must incorporate these elements in your work out program.  You must be able to explain why each of these are some important to helping maintain a physical fitness level.

5.  You will present your project to the class as a group and turn a typed version to the teacher.
