Living versus non-living

Step One

With your buddies, brainstorm and create a list of living things and what they need to survive. Do the same for nonliving things.

Step Two

As a group, watch the youtube video provided about living and nonliving things. Also, view the powerpoint given to you on this page. Find what information was the same or different as the information you have on your lists of living and nonliving things.

Step Three

Individually or as a group, complete the interactive activity to make sure you can remember everything you have worked so hard on!

Step Four

Now, by yourself you will create and leave clues for your buddies to find a living AND a nonliving thing in the classroom. You can use any materials provided, draw pictures, write riddles, or anything your imagination can think of!

Step Five

As a group, create a book of living and nonliving things by drawing pictures of the objects you led your buddies to in the classroom. Also draw pictures of other living and nonliving things you have learned about by using this webquest!
