Background Information for Reading Things Fall Apart

Suggested Steps:
1) Assign roles to the members of your group
2) Preview the links and guiding questions
3) Begin scanning the material and taking notes on your reading
4) Begin putting your lesson together utilizing the lesson plan
5) Prepare and practice how you will teach your lesson the class. 


Depending on the number of people in your group, you will need to divide the workload. Each you should take part in the research, creation, and presentation of your material.

Suggested Group Roles 

  • Facilitator � It�s your job to keep the group on task and moving in the right direction.

  • Manager �It�s your job to keep up with the group�s materials and what you�ve created so far. Make sure everyone is saving their documents as well.

  • Evaluator �It�s your job is to make sure your group is measuring up. Is what you are creating making sense? Make sure to compare your progress and product with the rubric.

  • Timekeeper� It�s your job to make sure the group is progressing. Keep the members updated on how much time is remaining in the class.
