Argentina

 Day 1: Introduction

Students were introduced to the country Argentina.  A map of Latin-America was use in class for students to find the location of this country.  Some questions were asked to get students to think about the lesson.  Que paises estan cerca de Argentina? What countries are near Argentina?  Cual es el idioma oficial de Argentina?  What is the official language of Argentina?  A short movie of 30 mintutes was viewed by students. Students were asked to think about the factors that have made Argentina a very successful country. 

After the movie students brainstorm various factors that have made Argentina successful.  I wrote their ideas on the board and ask them to write them down in their notebooks.  Buenos Aires, Los gauchos, Peron, El futbol, La comida, and Exportaciones.

The movie viewed in class is Argentina from www.unitedstreaming.com 

Day 2

 On the second day students picked a topic and  wrote fifteen Spanish questions related to their topic.  Students are to bring to class articles related to their topic and view websites.

 Day 3 

 Students work on their posters all captions are in Spanish, also teacher corrects sentences, for homework make corrections and write one page report.  Practice oral parts.

 Day 4

 Presentations on Argentina and questions for classmates.  Next class quiz on presentattions.
