What has already been done:
1. You have discussed the skill of giving presentations and highlighted the useful language in class (Unit 7: vežbe). (for a short revision, see Skills: Presentations below)

2. You have discussed E-commerce with your whole class (Unit 7: predavanja, Unit 7: vežbe).

What you have to do now:
3. You will start working as a member of KGV management.

5. Use an online dictionary to help you read the texts that follow.

6. Read the first two paragraphs of Wikipedia article on Bricks-and-Clicks. Make notes to answer the following questions:

  • What kind of business is called "Bricks-and-Clicks"?
  • What can additional "Flips" refer to?
  • How can customers order products?
  • Where can customers pick-up their products?
7. Read a text on some possible Advantages and Disadvantages of E-commerce. Make a list of three most important advantages and three most important disadvantages.

8. Read a text on How to Start an E-commerce Business. Make notes.

9. Read a text on How to Reduce Business Costs Using the Internet by Madison Garcia. Make notes.

10. Read KGV's Market Research. Make notes.

11. Consider the options KGV has for its business strategy (consider the following: stay traditional bricks-and-mortar retailer, become bricks-and-clicks(-and-flips) business, become a pure-click business).

12. Decide on the future business strategy of your company. Make notes.

13. Use your notes to prepare your oral presentation of KGV's future business strategy. Use the useful language for giving presentations and at least one conditional sentence (see Skills: Presentations below).
Your presentation should include the following:
  • highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of E-commerce
  • presenting KGV's future business strategy
  • giving reasons for your choices.
14. Practice your presentation, record a short video of yourself giving the presentation and upload it to our Google Classroom.

15. Refer to Evaluation page in order to get a clear idea of what your presentation should look like.
