A Teachable Moment in Egyptian Culture!

Your group of three or four people will choose one of the twelve Egyptian topics listed here.  

1. *Mummification
2. *Hieroglyphics
3. *Pharaohs
   
4. *Pyramids 
   
5. *Famous Buildings and Monuments
   
6. *Customs and Traditions
7. *Daily Life
8. *Religion
9. *Geography
10. *Math and Science Practices
    
11. *Artifacts
12. *Food
    

Once you and your group members have chosen your topic all must do research and decide what will be taught to the class.  Before you decide how to teach it there are three requirements that must be followed and those are:

1. *Write a detailed lesson plan
2. *Lecture using Powerpoint or Keynote (For Mac Users)
3. *Lesson must last 50 minutes

With your years in being a student you have had many role models as a teacher and hopefully they will have inspired you to be a good teacher.   As a group, you have full creative range in teaching the class.  To see if students have learned you must assess either by:

1. *Worksheets
2. *Quizzes
3. *Art Projects
4. *Hands-on-Activities

***Please note that if you give your students an assignment, project, or test you are also responsible for turning in the same assignment.  If you do an activity or art project, please have a finished example for the class to see before you start.  It will make teaching the activity easier.  Also the lesson plan has a format to follow. 

Each group member will have equal responsible in writing and creating the lesson.  Also each group member will have a minimum of 5 minutes to present a part of the lesson.  At the end of the project students will be required to rate each others participation.

For the Powerpoint/Keynote presentation students will be required to follow a format

Powerpoint presentation requirement:

1. Minimum of 10 slides
   
2. Title (1 Slide)
   
3. Introduction (1 or more slides)
   
4. Body(6 or more slides)
   
5. Conclusion (1 or more slides)
   
6. Resources(1 or more slides)
