Process
Step 1
Watch the youtube video for the First Landing on the Moon. Pay attention to details in the video.
Take notes about who the men were, when it took place and others. Use the graphic organizer provided by the teacher to help you remember everything!
Step 2
Did you know many women have also traveled into space? Click on the "Women in Space" link below and scroll through the pictures and information.
Pick two women you find interesting and write down the details listed on your graphic organizer.
Step 3
Watch the movie about the famous Hubble telescope. If you need to, watch it twice. Take notes on your graphic organizer to fill in important data.
Step 4
Believe it or not there have been many animals that have traveled into outer space! Click on the link below titled "Animals in Space". Read the information about all the different types of species. Pick two that you find interesting and take notes in the graphic organizers provided by the teacher.
Step 5
Aside from what you've learned there have been many, many other exciting things that have happened in space. There are two links below titled "Events in Space". Click on them both and scroll through and read the information. Pick two events that you haven't researched so far. Use the graphic organizer to take notes about these two events.
Step 6
Now that you have collected all your data, it is time to put it to work! Click on the "Timeline" link below. You will follow the steps to create a timeline with the notes you took. Make sure to include a picture as well as the information. Save it! When completed, send it to your teacher and/or print it out!
