Day 1: US & New Mexico History
- You will research events leading up to the Great Depression by using the following links to find your information.

Day 2: Geography
- You will watch a video on the dust bowl and how it affected the agriculture of the southern states. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/films/dustbowl/player/
- You will locate all states that were affected by the dust bowl find the attached interactive sheet in resources http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/174462/Dust-Bowl
- If time allows take the opportunity to play the hangman game that can be found on the home page!
Day 3: Civics & Government
- Find all presidents that were in office during the Great Depression and their effect on the citizens

Day 4: Economics
- What was the value of the land during the Dust Bowl?
- How was education impacted during the Great Depression?
- What programs did FDR put into place and which ones were accepted by New Mexico citizens.
Day 5: Completed Project (Choose one)
- You or your group will create a brochure that will explain the Great Depression and why people should come back to New Mexico. Use Microsoft word to create your brochure.
