Process

20130704091343ByTaS.jpg

Step 1: In your 2nd Quarter folder on GOOGLE DRIVE, Create a FOLDER and name it SOURCES.

Step 2:  Using the image provided (there's a copy of the file below "World Population Map") and an atlas or political map online to decide which NATIONS are found inside the circle.

Step 3: Make a list of these nations (in a GOOGLE DRIVE document and name it TRUESOURCES).

Step 4: Find reliable resources to help you figure out the population of each of these nations.  (Some are provided below...but how do you know if they are reliable?)  Make sure you list the resource(s) you used for this activity, and write a short DEFENSE for why you believe the validity of the resource(s) in your TRUESOURCES document.

Step 5: Figure out the World's Population.

Step 6: You do the MATH.  Do the numbers from your research match up with the claim made on the image?

Step 7: Save your TRUESOURCES document in the SOURCES folder.
