Mousnet Literature Circle
Process
- First, each day the members of the group will choose a new job: Super Summarizer, Cool Connector, Artful Artist, Literary Luminary or Word Wizard.
- Second, you will think about your job as you read your book each day.
Next, your group will begin reading Mousenet. You may silent read, or buddy read. After reading time every day, each member of the group will complete a literature worksheet, then meet with the group and share what was learned.
- When you are finished with your book, you will work to complete a project to share with the class.
Your finished project should answer these questions:
1) What made this book such a good book?
2) Why would I suggest kids read this book?
3) How can this book teach me new things? - 4) What is global warming and what can we do to change it?
Each student must choose a project to teach us what they learned about in their book. - Projects you can choose from:
Create a Powerpoint
Make a Movie (imovie, xtranormal, animoto)
Use Pages to create a brochure
Create a skit
Design a poster Make a foldable
Create a diorama
Write a song
Create a sculpture
- Or any other creative way to share what you learned!
- Be creative! Have fun! Your finished project should show your best work. Be ready to share your project with the rest of the class. Remember, you want your classmates to get excited about the book, and become aware of global warming.
