Step 3
Discuss and examine the illustrations for each book.

Choosing High Quality Children's Literature/Picture Book Illustrations
Step 4
Come to an agreement with your group about which book is best illustrated and select your choice.
Read Process Guide #2: Building Consensus
Step 5
Research the illustrator of the book your group selected as having the best illustrations. Take notes and keep list of sources used. Use Easybib to create Sources Cited list.

Step 6
Create a display board about your illustrator and nominated book.
Include author picture, picture of Caldecott winning book, list of books illustrated, information about year won, artistic medium, biographical information, or other fun facts. Look at these examples for ideas.
