Laptop computer –This computer will behooked up to a projector so that the video and interactive PowerPoint can beshown to the whole class on the overhead projector screen. 2. This will be used to hook to thecomputer so the video and interactive PowerPoint questions can be seen andchosen by the students. 3. Overhead projector screen- This willneed to be pulled down so that the video and interactive PowerPoint can beshown to students. 4. Teacher prepared video - willbe used to show the different types of family found in our society. 5. Audio recording will be used to listsome of the characteristics of the family 6. Interactive PowerPoint will be used totest students understanding of the topic.

Brainstormingactivity:- You will be involved in a brainstorming activity to define the term family usingconcept mapping. All the responses will be recorded and then eliminationof incorrect answers will be done. Teacher with the aid of the students will use all or some ofthe responses that are related to the topic to formulate a definition. you will be asked to write the definition in their notebooks.
step2video discussion - you will be asked to watch a video were the teacher will write the following question on the board to guide video watching“what are the different family types you see in the video”. Teacher and students will involve in a discussion on the information that was viewed about the different family types in society. The information will also be analysed by teachers and student.
Audio recording discussion- you will be asked to listen to an audio recording. The teacher will write the following question on the board to guide students listening “what are some of the characteristicsof the family”. Teacher and students will be involved in a discussion on the information that they heard about some of the characteristics of a family.
Interactive PowerPoint activity - An interactivePowerPoint will be used to test students understanding of the topic. Students will be placed in two groups were questions from different aspects of the lesson will be asked.
