The Call of the Wild
Process
Follow the steps below to ensure success for your unit on our Alaskan Adventure!
1. View the YouTube video about the Klondike Gold Rush (we will watch this as a class).
2. Go to the Klondike Gold Rush link and read about the adventure.
3. Answer questions 1-5 on The Call of the Wild Background Worksheet.
4. Read "Meet Jack London," on page 9 in the study guide.
5. Answer questions 6-10 on the worksheet.
6. Continuing in the Study Guide link, read the section on "Introducing the Novel."
7. Complete questions 11-15 on the worksheet.
8. Go to the "Sled Dogs: An Alaskan Epic" and read about the dogs of the Klondike.
9. Complete questions 16-20 on the worksheet.
10. Submit your answers to the worksheet questions.
When you finish the web quest you will be researching a topic related to The Call of the Wild with a partner and creating a power point presentation using Haiku Deck to teach the rest of the class about your topic. Go to the Call of the Wild Background Knowledge Project (last link below) to choose and research your topic.
