4th grade adventurers let's begin:

 1)Youwill remain in your groups, you must choose an illustrator, and a scribe. Both of you will be information gatherers.

Thisprovides information in written format to identify parts in an ecosystem.

This provides information about ecosystems in a song and video format.  The song does contain extra information which you can apply to your project, but it is not required.

4) Play the following game ANALYZING an ECOSYSTEM to refine your knowledge about the parts of an ecosystem before moving on to your next step be sure to find all the examples on the left!

5) Next the scribe should use the paper provided to describe what an ecosystem is, and what its parts are, then the scribe needs to describe a specific ecosystem such as a pond.  The illustrator needs to use the poster board provided to illustrate the chosen ecosystem.  

6)Your almost done adventurers play the game below to solidify your knowledge on ecosystems before you make your own:

7)In your final phase you will invent your own ecosystem.  Yourecosystem should include: all of the essentials parts of an ecosystem thatyou have already listed ie producers, consumers.  Scribe your job isto write a brief description of your ecosystem including a paragraph on thelife cycle of one of your ecosystem members.  Illustrator your job is to draw andlabel your ecosystem,  on posterboard provided as well as a separate picture of the life cycle of a specificecosystem member.

8) Turn in all materials toyour teacher.  I hope you enjoyed your journey
