The NuMber 13th

Before you start, you should make a group of 4. You can choose it by yourself or if you have a problem, you can ask your teacher to make a group for you. These task is divided into individul and group task.

INDIVIDUAL TASK

After choosing group, it's time for you to make report. You can follow the example of report in attachment 1. You have to answer all of the following questions and write it all down in your report. 

1. 13 is unlucky number. Where is this statement coming from?

    Today, people know that number 13 is related to bad things. But, there must be some explanation. So, we have to read the history of number 13. It is possible that will be a lot of different answers, you can write it all down in your report. You can use this resource too.

2. Is the general perception of number 13 only related to death or devil true?

3. Why is "question number 2" true or why is it false? Give an example!

     You're asked to explain your answer in number 2. To convince yourself and the reader, you're asked to give a real example in the world related to number 13. It will be better if you can find it from a book and write the book's title in your report. You can check the attachment 2. And also, you can use this resource.

4. What do you supposed to do knowing that number 13 has a particular meaning?

    You know that number 13 is special because this number become something like a "faith" for some people. How about you? Do you believe it or not? And give the reason of your answer. The resources is only from your understanding.

After you finished the report, you're asked to give comment about number 13. You can give comment about everything related to this number, the example, the affect to your daily life, etc. It's up to you.

GROUP TASK

The last task is to create your own story about number 13. First, you have to made the script with your group, then decide the actor. One person can play more than one character. After that, give the copy of your script to the teacher. Now, let's begin the most interesting part, that is perform your drama in front of the class and it will be better if you can wear costums.

Then, the other student as viewer give their comment to the perform group in oral way after the end of each performance.
