Partner Work

When you have selected a partner and have chosen who wants to be either the Algonquin or the Iroquois member, it is time to start exploring! Below there are links for you to see what life was like for either an Algonquin or Iroquois member. Make sure to take out a sheet of paper and take notes on what you found. You will want to write down what their life was like, jobs they had to do, food they ate, where they lived, and any other interesting fact you find about them. When you are all done finding 5 facts about their lives, you will then share with your partner about what you found! Together, discuss these questions

1. What was your life like?

2. What was similar about both of your lives?

3. What was different about both of your lives?

If you chose Algonquin, explore these websites below!

Individual Work

For your individual work, pretend you were an Algonquin or an Iroquois member! Write a journal entry where you describe a day in your life if you were an Algonquin or an Iroquois member. Tell me about:

1. What jobs you did that day?

2. Why you did those jobs?

3. What activities did you do that day?

4. Where you live? Describe it.

5. Did you have a good or a bad day? Why?
