The Solar System

Process

For your model, you will need a tennis ball, plasticine of different colours, thin metallic wire, blue tack, scissors and a piece of cardboard(approximately 5o x5o cms)
Steps:

  1. Fix the table tennis ball at the centre of the cardboards (with some blue tack) to represent the sun.
  2. Make 9 loops of different sizes using the metallic wire each loop will represent the path of one planet of the solar system.
  3. Place the loops around the table tennis ball.
  4. Using plasticine of different colours, make small balls of different sizes to represent each planet.
  5. Fix each plasticine ball on one loop.
  6. Label the 3-D model completely.
Note : Your model should clearly show;

-The smallest planet of the solar system

-The largest planet of the solar system.
