Day One

Students will use the website http://www.agclassroom.org/kids/stats/arizona.pdf and research infomation about Arizona Agriculture and create a book telling the important facts about the state in story form. Students will illustrate pictures to accompany the book. Materials needed for the project: paper, computer with internet access, pencil, markers, crayons.

Day Two

Students will research another state using the same internet website from day one changing the state name of the particular state to be researched. Students will use a double bubble map to compare and contrast the two states. Materials needed for the project: computer with internet access, double bubble map sheet, pencil.

Day Three

Students will watch a video from United Streaming, Moving to America: Then and Now
.Students will write in their journals their principals, goals, customs, and traditions and how they differ from others and their princicals, goals, customs, and traditions.

Day Four

Students will view a video on You Tube, Lego City Shopping Mall-Old Ward Parkway as a reference to construct a model map of their school. Students will be divided into groups of 5 to complete this group project. Mateials needed for the project: You Tube Video, paper, markers, crayons, pencils, clay/playdough, poster boards, construction paper, shoe boxes/lids.

Day Five

Students will watch a video from United Streaming, How Our Economy Works: Al lAbout Earning and Spending Money. Students will select a job and research the imcome to accompany that job. They will then create a budget sheet of their earnings and spending based on the income available through that job.
