Energy Saving in JHS

Water:

1) Open up the PowerPoint document include under resources, you will see two slides. One for your information about water use, one for your ideas.

Our school uses a lot of water everyday, from the bathrooms to watering the gardens.

2) Your first task is to make a list of how the school uses water. You can use this webpage to get some ideas about where the school uses water.

3) Take your cellphone and walk around the school. Take pictures of places where you see water being used.

4) Put this list in the first PowerPoint slide. Put some pictures in the slide too, so we can all see what you are talking about.


5) Think about what you found. Next step, think of a way to save water. From your list, select one or two items. Now, can you think of a plan to save water? Look at this web page. Can you see some ideas to use with your school?

6) On the second slide, tell us how we can save water. Use your cellphone camera to take a short video showing us how we can save water.

You will combine your two slides with the other two groups to make one presentation. Your teacher will help you with this.
