Safety in the Secondary Science Classroom

Welcome to Safety in the Science Classroom Web Quest!  Here you will find numerous resources to better your knowledge about classroom safety.  These resources will give you lessons, worksheets, assessments, liability information, classroom rules, and plans and procedures to follow.  The National Science Teachers Association and the Maryland State Department of Education are two organizations in which many of these resources come from.  These two sources are reliable and important because they are two of the governing bodies in our educational system.  The other sources come from teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders in middle school science education.

A bulk of the information on this topic is found in the "Safety Info" "Lessons" and "Living Things" sections. You can assess your learning through the activities in the "assessments" section of this web quest, and/or you can use other activities listed in the "lessons" section to assess your own or your students' learning.  Additional resources can be found in the "Web Resources" section of this web quest.
