In a small village, there once lived a very old barber. He had 3 sons. The youngest son was TALL, the second son was TALLER and the eldest son was the TALLEST.

One day, the old barber died. All his sons decided to start their own salons after their father died. They opened their salons on the same street. The youngest son put up a board outside his salon saying, ‘This is a GOOD barber!’. The second son noticed the board and decided to put up a board utside his salon saying, ”This barber is BETTER than the other barber on the street”. The eldest son wanted to outsmart his brothers so he put up a board that said, ”This is the BEST barber on the street”.

One day, a big politician visited the village. He wanted a haircut. He visited the first salon and sat on the chair. ”What are your rates?” he asked. ”Rp 40.000 for a haircut,” said the youngest son. ”You are EXPENSIVE,” said him and walked off. He visited the second son’s salon. ”What are your rates?” he asked. ”Rp 45.000,” said the second son. ”You are MORE EXPENSIVE than your younger brother!” said him and walked off. He visited the third son’s salon and asked, ”What are your rates?” The eldest replied, ”Rp 50.000”. He was shocked and replied, ”You are the MOST EXPENSIVE barber on the street!”

From that story, we are going to learn more about degrees of comparison.
