Solar Sytem

Have you ever look up in the sky and wonder what is up there?  Pass the birds, planes, the cloud and even the further pass the moon. A whole host of fascinating and interesting objects are spinning in space. Let's imagine that you are an astronaut and you left earth behind to explore the  vastness of outer space that surrounds the earth. Its called the solar system because everything in it  is centered around the sun. The word 'solar' means something to do with the sun. The sun is a star; just like the the tiny stars you can see in the night sky. The sun is very, very, very far away from earth, almost 93 million miles away. The sun is a huge star; even though it seem so small.
