Portraits in Drawing

Portraiture has been documented for centuries, whether it be in painting or drawing. While many pieces of art can be classified as a portrait, they are all very distinct and have changed throughout the years. Portraits do not have to be of just one person, although that is what your project will be focusing on,  a piece of art containing a group of people is still considered a portrait. You are sure to have heard of many famous artists that used portraiture heavily including Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. There are so many different ways portraiture can be done so there is sure to be something that pulls at everyone's interest!
