Pottery making is an art skill that has been around for a very long period of time. Making clay pots is versatile and enjoyed by both kids and adults. It is essentially forming a piece of clay into required shapes. The finished pot must be dried completely to remove any remaining water, thereby increasing the strength and setting the shape of the pot. Once a pottery maker is finished turning a piece of clay into a work of art it gives the maker a sense of pride and accomplishment.
