What is Volleyball?



  Throughout the years: volleyball has been evolved, rules have been changed, and skills have been adapted.  As a student who is playing and watching volleyball, you are  looking and thinking of about the origin of the game: when and how was it started and developed, are you?




    But first, I will give you some ideas about volleyball. The game volleyball is an Olympic team sport invented by William G. Morgan in 1895 which was originally called "mintonette". After the invention of basketball, Morgan, a graduate of the Springfield College of the YMCA designed the game to be a combination of handball, basketball, baseball and tennis. The game is played by two teams in a court divided by a net. Each team comprises of six active players and the main objective of the game is to send the ball over the net in order to ground it in the opponent's court.
