Realism Unit: The Image of Women & Children

The purpose of this WebQuest is to give students the opportunity to better understand the social, political and economic changes that are taking place in American history and literature (1860-1914). During this lesson, students will define, describe and analyze the image of women and children within Realism literature. Students will use inductive reasoning skills and will collaborate with peers as they complete this assignment. Students may work in pairs, however, each student is required to submit their own assignment. Information and skills acquired during this lesson will be later assessed during the unit's test.
