Hello there! We are looking for pony express riders to deliver the mail over rough areas on a horse.

Would you like to do that job? Let me ask you one question to see if you can do it.

  • Are you under 18 years of old and can ride horses?
  • (If you cant ride horses, you can learn quickly since you will be riding on one an awful lot!)

Did you answer yes! Alrighty then, that means that you can join the Pony Express. Welcome aboard.

Oh, wait, there is one more thing to do: you have to make a promise.

So, raise your right hand and read:

I do hereby promise, before the great and living God, that while I am a Pony Express rider, I will

never say bad words, hurt my horse, or fight with any other riders.

I will be honest and trusting, and a good role model for everyone.

Congratulations! You are a Pony Express Rider.

You will be given dangerous jobs and will ride your horse on hot, cold, rainy, and snowy days.

You may be attacked by Indians or robbers, but do not ever give up because you made a promise.

You are responsible to complete your job.
