Imagery on "The Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin
Introduction
Do you ever picture a world when you are reading a book? Author George R.R. Martin once said that “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies... The man who never reads lives only one.” Which means that when you read you can feel as if you are living what you are reading; you can see what you read.
Whenever you read a story, a poem or a book, does it ever take over your senses and paints a picture? In literature, that is what imagery is. To paint a picture with words appealing to any of the five senses. I This web-quest has the purpose of painting a world with "The story of an hour" by Kate Chopin. Your job is to acknowledge that world by identifying the imagery and which sense it appeals.
