Come to the places where gods and mortals meet!

Greek mythology comes from Greece, where the Greek people worshipped their gods and goddesses. Greek mythology is the religion of the ancient Greeks. The  myths told of 12 Olympian gods and goddesses who lived on Mount Olympus. The Olympians had their very own temples, as did other main gods and demigods and goddesses. The Main Greek Gods are: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Apollo, Ares, Hermes, and Hephaestus. The Main Greek Goddesses are: Hera, Athena, Aphrodite, Demeter, Hestia, Artemis and Persephone.

With our school's Greek Mythology contest that is coming up in one month, our class has been given the subject of Greek Temples. Each group will choose a Greek Temple but each student will write a report on the Temple that their group chose and each student will also write a synopsis on the Greek God or Goddess that the Temple belonged to. At the end of the project, each group will create an outstanding project that includes their reports and each students synopsis.

Greek Mythology offers a great deal of information, which will make it easier for each group to research your temple. Websites will be available to you for your use.
