In correctly completing this Famous Mathematicians WebQuest, you will be able to answer questions like these:

What is a mathematician?
How have mathematicians influenced mathematical thinking?  Who is the most famous mathematician ever?

Active participation in this project will enable students to find answers to these and many more questions concerning the mathematicians who have so greatly influenced the subject we study.  After researching a mathematician of their choice, they will be able to argue why their particular mathematician has influenced math most significantly.
