Seaweeds

Intact seaweed has a high non-starch polysaccharides and non-protein nitrogen content. The protein content of intact seaweeds is low. Amino acid pattern of seaweeds is of interest for animal feed. Intact seaweed has a low in vitro organic matter and nitrogen digestibility.
