In this section the pairs are going to come together with another pair, and the two groups will give feedback to each other.

Peer feedback - in pairs - 15 minutes

First of all, the two groups will watch each other's video presentation.

While watching, each individual considers the following questions:

1. How is the pronunciation  in the video?

2. How is the use of grammar?

3. To what degree are there used words that are relevant to the topic?

4. Is it easy to understand the information provided in the video?

Then, each individual writes down 2 things about the presentation which they thought was good, and 1 thing that they thought could be better.
In relation to the things they thought could be better, they have to provide a possible solution to how they think the other group can improve in the future.

The two groups take turns presenting their feedback to eachother.

Furthermore, the instructor will watch all the presentations, and fill out the rubric sheet below to each presentation.

Teacher page

General

This webquest takes 2-3 lessons of 45 minutes to complete.

It is aimed at pupils primarily in 8th to 9th grade.

It is a must for you as teacher to look through all of the content provided in the webquest beforehand, so that you are prepared to help pupils with understanding the texts and videos, as well as to instruct them properly.

Timeframe

In some of the activities the pupils have been provided with a timer to help them stay within the given timeframe. This can also be a valuable tool for you in managing the classroom - Every activity is provided with a suggested timeframe, and depending on whether or not you want all of the pupils to follow the same timeframe, you can use this as a way of dictating which stage of the webquest you are currently working on.

Groups - pairs

The pupils will be working both individually and in pairs. The pairs should be determined beforehand, so that pupils won't see this as an unsafe factor, but will be able to focus on the job at hand.

Also, it is very important that you put them together in a wise way - the pairs should be made so that they fit together in regards to their level, so that they have the experience of lifting equally as much in every group.

Differentiation

There are some elements of the content you can change to differentiate the difficulty in order for it to be appropriate for the level of the pupils:

1. The keywords exercise can be changed so that they won't have to focus on providing arguments to why a specific keyword is relevant, but only have to provide and understand the definition.
- Additionally you can give them the task of finding words they don't understand instead of words that are universally important when discussing the term 'globalization'.

2. You can give them the task of presenting information about the term 'globalization' as a general term instead of having them explain 1 of the 3 types of globalization in their video presentations.

Good luck!
