Evaluation

With the help of Biggs taxonomy we can determine the advancement of understanding the term "migration".

• Pre-structural: The student can partly name some elements, but do not see coherence. The pupil may have some knowledge of migration, but only partial.

• Uni-structural: The singular subject’s contents in focus, without being related to other subjects. The pupils will be able to remember the different kinds of migrants and be able to see it in a context.
• Multi structural: More subject content is in play. The pupil will be able to categorise the different kinds of migrants and use the terminology to make a better understanding of the subject.
• Relative level: The student is capable of understanding the meaning of the singular subjects comparable to the overlining theme. On this level you can use the information, and compress them into questions, which can lead to a greater understanding of the subject. E.g. “Why do migrants leave their home?”, “How resourceful are these people?” “Where do they come from, and how did they come here?”
• Expanded abstracted level: When the pupil is able to use single elements and the integrated elements, which the whole subject consists of, be placed and used in a discussion pro to other cases and to work with actual issues. The pupil is able to make hypotheses and reflect on solutions to a problem.
