1 Student is unable to identify the basic parts of a plant, cannot recall the life cycle of a plant and does not know what plants need to flourish.

2 Student has difficulty retelling the needs and life cycle of plants.

3 Student may need additional help labeling and may need to be retaught about the basic life cycle of plants.

4 Student may have a basic understanding of plants however there are still incorrect answers on class handouts.

5 Student has a clear understanding of the basic life cycle of plants, their needs and can label the basic structure of plants.
