How the Internet works
Evaluation
The success of the student requires the ability to know how to create a website with appropriate content and usability. The student must know how to test the website using a web design program such as Microsoft Web Expression program prior to publishing it on the Internet. The student must know how to obtain a website name, URL, and appropriate IP address to ensure the website is properly displayed, accessible, and found. The creation scenario will teach the student:
- How the Internet uses Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) to display information.
- How the Internet Protocol (IP) can be either non routable or routable in order for the website to be displayed on the Internet.
- Using Internet resources.
