Students will be evaluated on their abilities to observe weather, make qualitative and quantitative observations each day, find patterns in their work, and present their findings to the class.

Students observed the weather using their senses and the tools (thermometer). The student sat back and let their group do the work. They did not seem engaged, nor did they try to help. The student made a few comments to help their group out, but was not seeming to try very hard. The student used some of their senses and some of the tools to figure out the weather. The student took charge in their group and used most of their senses and the tools to determine the weather. /10
Students made many qualitative and quantitative observations each day. The student made only qualitative or only quantitative observations. The student made few qualitative and few quantitative observations. The student made some qualitative and few quantitative observations. The student's observations included many qualitative and few quantitative observations. /5
Students found patterns in their work. The student was unable to determine any relationships among their observations. The student compared few factors of their observations and created weak patterns. The student was able to determine some patterns based on their findings. The student found many patterns in many different areas of their discoveries. /10
Students presented their findings to the class. The student was unable to present their information to the class. The student present some findings to the class. The student presented all findings to the class, but with no explanation. The student presented his/her group's findings to the class with clear explanation. /5
