The Summary :

SENTENCE TYPES 


1. Simple Sentence 

Simple sentence is a sentence that has one subject-verb pair.

2. Compound Sentence

Compound sentence is a sentence that contains of two independent sentences connected by a comma and a coordinating conjuction such as FANBOYS (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so.)

3. Complex Sentence

Complex sentence is a sentence that contains of at least one independent clause and at least one dependent clause. This sentence has one main clause.

4. Compound-Complex Sentence

Compound – complex sentence is a sentence that have at least two independent clause and at least one dependent clause.


CONDITIONAL SENTENCE

1. Conditional Sentence Type 0

This conditional sentence is used to describe general facts or truths that are certain.

2. Conditional Sentence Type 1

This conditional is used to describe situations that might occur in the future. If you use this conditional sentence then it means you are confident that the presupposition will still be possible in the future.

3. Conditional Sentence Type 2

This conditional sentence is used to describe situations that are unrealistic or have very little chance of occurring. For example, imagine something that is not possible or daydream.

4. Conditional Sentence Type 3

This conditional sentence is used to refer to the past and suppose how the current situation could be different if what happened in the past is different and contrary to what is happening now.
