Teaching Explanatory Writing to 3rd-5th Grade Students

You've done it! By this point, you understand what is expected of your students, have chosen rigorous and engaging texts, and have plans for how you will teach all of the skills that your students need. 

Well, perhaps you're not completely done...

You've spent time planning, and now comes the fun part! As you move through your unit with students, be sure to take notes of what works and what doesn't. For the next unit, you won't have to start from scratch, but it will be important to make improvements based on how your students respond.
