United States Presidents: A WebQuest

Target Learners:

 This WebQuest is targeted for 5th grade students but could be adapted for any
 intermediate elementary grade.

Objective:

 The students will create a 5 page powerpoint about a United States president.              Technology, Writing, Speaking and Social Studies standards will be addressed. 

Standards:

*  Identify contributions of individuals and groups to United States history.

*  Identify and describe primary documents, material artifacts and historic sites important in United States history.

*  Identify important changes in United States history.

*  Identify individuals and groups who have made significant political and cultural contributions to world history.

*  Apply orperating  system skills to perform basic computer tasks.

*  Apply specific instructional software.

*  Revise writing to improve organization and word choice, check the logic, order or ideas and precision of vocabulary.

*Speak using skills appropriate to formal speech situations.

*  Participate in small and large group discussions and presentations.
