FOCUS:
The objective of this WebQuest is to help students to learn how to deal with the typical problems of adolescence, in a time of crisis, and make them more confident when speaking in front of the class.

OBJECTIVES/GOALS: 
 This WebQuest was designed to meet the curricular needs of 14-year-old Portuguese students  in their 5th year of language study.
Before the start of this project, students had a lesson as "Introduction/Motivation" to the theme.  

 

 While running this project students will develop:

 communicative competence in English 

 problem solving capacity

 autonomy and self-learning  skills

 improve reading, writing and SPEAKING skills

 promote initiative and the ability to take decisions 

 develop sense of responsibility and organizing methods 

 sharing experiences 

 IT skills  

 promote self and peer-assessment

 

 RESOURCES

PREREQUISITE SKILLS: Internet proficiency.

TIME REQUIRED: 5 lessons x 45 minutes for research and preparation and 2 lessons x 45minutes for presentation.

TECHONOLOGY NEEDS/MATERIALS  NEEDED:
Since students will be looking for different information on the same websites, each student will need a computer.
