Energy: What is it, EXACTLY?!

By the end of the completion of these tasks, you should be able to understand various things about energy:

• I CAN define conductor.
• I CAN identify who created the electric circuit.
• I CAN define insulator.
• I CAN identify electrical insulators. 
• I CAN define sound energy.

You will be assigned 1 of 3 text and then put into groups according to the text you were assigned. ***Teacher will choose groups***

Text:

1. Forms of Energy (Group 1)
2. Conductors and Insulators (Group 2)
3. Electrical Circuits (Group 3)

You will be given time to read the text your group was given.

After you have your text and are put into your groups, you will be assigned task cards, according to your groups' text. With these task cards you will play 1 of 2 games. You will decide as a group, OR you can play both (if time permits). 

Games:

1. Board Game
2. Scoot

These tasks will address questions that pertain to each text, such as:

• _____ is energy that our eyes can detect directly.
• The ability to do work and cause change is the definition of _____.
• Who created the first electric circuit?
• _____ is energy that can be measured as temperature.

These games will help you better understand (but not limited to) the different forms and types of energy & the history of energy.
