Poetry ( Rhythm)

 I know you are very interested to complete the task that awaits you but first you need to see the learning goals for today's class. For this WebQuest the attainment target is the ultimate goal that should be achieved at the end of the lesson. In addition to the attainment target there are specific objectives that should be met. This forms your task that should be accomplished by the time you have finished this lesson. By the end of the lesson you should be able to do the following:

1. Identify the use of poetic devices such as onomatopoeia, pun, rhyme, alliteration, repetition and lineation.
2. Show appreciation for the rhythm of the poem through expressive choral reading.
3. Compare your feelings about  yourresponsibilities re use of music with the persona’s attitude towards the rhumba.
4. Work cooperatively to describe and account for the rhythm of the poem.
