The Lemonade War

You will be creating your very own Lemonade Stand Marketing Plan with a classmate! Your job will be to persuade the class that your business plan is the most effective. You will use The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies and the journal writing assignments as your guide.

Once you have read the book The Lemonade Stand by Jacqueline Davies and seen the lemonade stand business tips that were designed by Evan and Jessie for the Rotary Club Learning Contest, pair up with a classmate and it will be your turn to create your own lemonade stand marketing plan. You will use the information that you have put together in your journal to design your very own marketing plan. You will present your marketing plan on a poster board to the class. You may draw pictures, write information, glue on pictures, gather information from the internet or use any other source you would like to put together your poster board.

You must include, either in on your poster board or in your presentation:

• where you will place your lemonade stand
• what recipe will you use?
  
• who your customers will be
• how you will add value to your lemonade
• the cost of your lemonade
• a list of supplies
• the times your lemonade stand will be open
• who you will work with, or will you work alone?
• will you franchise? If yes, how will you find people to run your franchises?
• how you will advertise

You can choose to add in other information if you think it will make your business successful.

You and your partner will present this poster board to the class in a 3-5 minute presentation and make a convincing argument about why your lemonade stand will be the most successful. Write the speech you will give the class in your journal, so that you can gather your thoughts and ideas.
