Find your story!
Step 1:
• Open Google Slides and create a file with the name of your land. Your assignment will be located here.
• Click below and review all seven slides attached and click on any links to familiarize yourself with the name of each figurative part of speech.
Step 2:
• Brainstorm ideas for your story. Write them down.
• Write sentences practicing using each figure of speech.
• Start developing your story with sentences with figures of speech that can be included in your story.
• Create 9 Slides as follows:
o The name of your story.
o Personification
o Simile & Metaphor
o Imagery
o Onomatopoeia
o Hyperbole
o Idiom
o Pun
o The End
Step 3:
Now it is time to bring your story to life!
• Write your story.
• There are 7 parts of figurative speech.
• Each slide represents one paragraph.
• Each slide will contain two examples of that figure of speech. The only place this is different is for Simile & Metaphor. Here you will use one simile and one metaphor, still for a total of two examples.
• Insert your pictures, links, art, designs into the slides.
• Ask yourself, do my words tell a story?
• As yourself, did I use 2 examples per part of speech?
• Proofread proofread proofread! Make sure your story makes sense and be proud of your creation!
