Task One

You will watch a YouTube video entitled ‘All About Volcanoes for Children: Introduction to Volcanoes for Kids’ by FreeSchool. You may watch the video as often as necessary. Discuss with a partner and make brief notes about salient points.Use the information to complete the definitions for the words/terms in the glossary you are asked to create. Although you may view and discuss video as pairs, you must complete the task individually.

Task Two

In groups of five, you will view the PowerPoint presentation - Volcanoes. Discuss the information together using the questions as guides to ascertain the relevant information. Each member of the group has the responsibility to respond to one question. These responses must be in complete sentences. Put the sentences together and present as one compilation for the group. Task Three

You will study the diagram of the cinder cone volcano in groups of twos. Then draw and label a diagram of the cinder cone volcano of your own. Draw diagram on un-ruled paper. One group member is responsible for drawing the diagram and the other member is responsible for labeling the diagram. Task Four

Read the information on the page ‘How to write a haiku’. Look at the examples provided and try one of your own paying keen attention to the syllabication rules per line in the haiku poem. Have two persons critique it for you to ensure that you have used the rules properly. After practicing and having your sample approved as having followed the rules, create another haiku about volcanoes. Task Five

In groups of four, you will carry out a research to compile a project to find out about volcanoes to respond to questions presented in the Task section. You must include a title page, a table of contents page, an introduction, a conclusion and a reference page. You must also include relevant pictures for each section of the content.
