Use the Interesting Facts worksheet in your researcher's notebook to record one fact for 15 different animals of your choice. Choose a variety of animals from all over the world! Visit each of these sites during your exploration:

Step 2: Examine Resources!
How do we look for our facts? Let's pretend you and your partner are researching the MEERKAT. Use Resource #3 at the bottom of this page to answer all the questions on your Animal Facts worksheet.

Step 3: Gather Information!
Now that you have narrowed down your choice to one animal, you are ready to begin your research! In this step, you will begin to gather information about the four Essential Questions in your quest to become an animal expert!
Start with the same sites from Step 1, looking for information on your specific animal. Be sure to record each fact in your researcher's notebook. If you need extra research notes pages, download and print from the Resources at the bottom of this page.

Step 4: Present Your Research!
You've now become an expert on your animal! In class, we will be creating PowerPoint slideshows with all those facts you have gathered, so that you can share what you have learned with your classmates and your parents.
