Learning about Pets
Process
- Discuss with your group which 3 pet animals you would like to research about (look in the document with the list of animals)
- Visit the different websites in the Resources to find information about 3 different pet animals in general, follow the Pet Fact sheet template that you have under the Resources below and fill in one fact sheet for each animal. You will need to divide tasks among your group members.When you have finished your research discuss and share the information together.
- Then your group will need to select one favourite pet animal to write about. Find some interesting facts to add to your project to later share with the rest of the class.
- Go to the "Vocabulary Pets Ebook" on the Wiki page, add an image and the name of your animal (include other names if you know for the female, male and baby name). You need to save the pictures first to your computer before you can upload them to the wiki page. There is already one example in the wiki page to follow (the parrot).
- In the Wiki, create an animal page with the name and information about your pet. Add 1 or 2 pictures.
- Go to the Wordle website and create a wordle with the name of your animal and words and adjectives describing your animal (you will need to use the snipping tool to save your wordle to your computer so you can upload it to the wiki page as an image).
- Upload your group Wordle to your wiki animal page.
- Go to the Wallwisher website and add your choice of technology that you liked using the most while doing this project.
