Getting a Feel for Shapes

Learning Intention: We are learning to construct models of famous landmarks around the world, in particular prisms and pyramids

Explore these websites with a partner and choose two famous landmarks; one landmark must contain a prism or pyramid the other one being your own choice. Now that you have choosen your famous landmarks you need to save them in the same folder as your photos from Part 3 which is my pictures. To save an image from a website simply right click the mouse on the image and select 'save picture as', then select the designated folder and click 'save'. Discuss with your partner to determine the nets of each image saved. Use paper and utensils to draw the net and then build the famous landmarks.

Utensils: Graph paper, ruler, pencil, compass, protractor, sticky tape
